To begin the process, you should start by asking yourself a few questions. 

• What kind of a roof do you want? If your existing roof uses asphalt shingles, do you want to continue using an asphalt roof, or upgrade to cedar, slate or tile?  If you stick with asphalt, do you want to change color?  If cedar is what you want, do you want perfections, taper sawn or hand split shingles?  
• What about the flashings and the sheet metal at the edges?  Do you want to go with lower cost aluminum products, or should you opt for longer lasting – and more expensive – copper?
• What about leaders and gutters?  What style is right for your home?  If you’ve had problems with water backing up and overflowing the gutters, do you have the right size gutters and leaders on your home?  We can tell you.  Do you want to change styles?  Are hanging gutters with decorative leader boxes appropriate?  What about built-in gutters?
